Welcome to this site! My name is Michelle C. Wang 王慧蘭 and I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Georgetown University, where I am a specialist in the Buddhist art and architecture of the medieval silk routes and their colonial-era reception. This site will serve as a repository for resources for research and teaching, beginning with a digital index to the mural paintings of the Mogao Caves at Dunhuang, located in present-day Gansu province.
